Wilma Izzo Obituary

Wilma Izzo, 100, of Monongahela passed away peacefully at her home on July 6, 2021. Born on June 2, 1921 in Connellsville, she was the daughter of the late Lindsey and Lillie Frazier.

Wilma was a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School is 1939. She worked for the Knights Life Insurance Company as an executive secretary. She was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, Charleroi. She was devoted to her Catholic faith and loved being with her family.

Wilma is survived by two sons, Richard Izzo, at home, and Edward Izzo (Laurie), of Rostraver; four daughters, Lorraine Kapolka (Dennis), of Rostraver, Mary Louise Izzo (Stephen), of Harrisburg, Janice Williams (Durk), of North Charleroi, and Dorothy Martinelli, of Monongahela; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Patrick Frazier, of Connellsville.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Alfred F. Izzo, on October 31, 1988; two brothers, infant Raymond James Frazier and Lindsey Frazier Jr.; and four sisters, Rae Margaret Kazmarek, Dorothy Freeman, Genova Goodwin, and Rosemary Shallenberger.

Friends will be received from 9:30 to 10:30 am on Friday, July 9 in the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am on Friday at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, 624 Washington Ave., Charleroi, with interment following in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
