William C. Sable, 87, of Fallowfield Twp., passed away peacefully on Friday, February 6, 2015. Born on March 22, 1927, he was the son of the late Andrew Sable and Victoria Ann (Palvekovsky) Sable Negelman.
He was a member of Mary, Mother of the Church, where he was a long time usher, the Charleroi American Legion, and the Charleroi Sportsmen Club. He was veteran of WWII, serving with the Army Medical Corp. He was retired as an electrician for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Allenport, MDIA, and MAI, where he was well known around the valley as the electrical inspector. He was also well known to those who knew him for his kindness and generosity.
He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Sable Hess, and husband William N. Hess III, of Monessen; grandson, Ryan W. Hess, of Monessen; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Eleanor S. Sable, in 2010; and brothers, Robert Edward Sable, killed in action in WWII, and Andrew David Sable, in 2010.
Friends will be received from 2 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, February 8, in the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, in Mary, Mother of the Church, Charleroi, celebrated by Rev. James Young, with interment following in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
