Walter J. Ornot Obituary

Walter J. Ornot, 90, of New Eagle, died on Friday, October 9, 2015.  Born on January 13, 1925, he was the son of the late George and Mary (Holiday) Ornot.  

He was a member of St. Damien of Molokai Parish, and was retired from Wheeling- Pittsburgh Steel as a mail carrier.  He was a US Army veteran, having served in Korea, and was a member of the Charleroi American Legion and VFW.  

He is survived by nieces and nephews, Caroline O'Brien, Christine Gibino, Philip Ornot, Carl T. Ornot, Theresa Beistel, Bernadette Gebhardt, Mary Ann Muncie, Michael Ornot, Katherine Reho, and Rose Marie Slavick.  

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers, Joseph, Frank, Alex, Michael, Raymond, Albert, and Carl Ornot; sisters, Millie and Frances Ornot; and nephew, Jack Ornot.  

Friends will be received from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 17 in the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Damien of Molokai Parish, Monongahela.  Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
