Virginia J. Scorza, 87, of Charleroi, formerly of Bentleyville, died on Monday, February 27, 2017.  Born on February 25, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Germinio and Pauline Jansante.  

She was a member of the former Ave Maria Parish and was a graduate of Bentleyville High School.  She was a member of the North Charleroi French Club, the Corning Retirees Group, and was an avid euchre player.  She loved going to The Meadows Casino with her children and grandchildren and also loved playing bingo with her friends at Crest Avenue Apartments.  

Mrs. Scorza is survived by her daughter, Linda (Stush) Zyski, of Belle Vernon; son, Joe (Cindy) Scorza, of Fallowfield Twp.; daughter-in-law, Lorainne Scorza; grandchildren, Stephanie (Bob) Molisee, Adam (Melissa) Zyski, Eric Zyski, Joseph Scorza, Dominic Scorza, and Briannon (Rob) Yadrick; great-grandchildren, Grace and Jacob Molisee; and several nieces and nephews.  

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Vincent "Jimmy" Scorza, in 1992; son, Vincent J. Scorza, in 1990; brothers, Val and Jimmy Jansante; and sisters, Evelyn Gordon, Lilly Babirad, Eva Gust, and Cecilia Morris.  

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 3, in the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, in St. Katharine Drexel Parish, Ave Maria Church, Bentleyville, with interment following in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
