Sara L. Balieu, 99, of Charleroi, died on Sunday, June 18, 2017.  Born on June 28, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Eva (Harhai) Patti.  

She was a member of Speers United Methodist Church, and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.  

She is survived by her son, Arthur Phillip Balieu, of Stockdale; daughter, Joyce Harris, and husband David, of Mapleview; grandchildren, Lori Spina, Cathy (Robert) Dean, Charles Balieu, David (Eva) Harris, Jr., Lisa (Donald) Reed, Jamie Harris, and Brian Harris; ten great-grandchildren; two, great-great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Charles Balieu, in 2009; sister and brother-in-law, Sadie and Anthony Bruno; cousin, Marie Greskovich; daughter-in-law, Catherine Balieu; and grandson-in-law, Sam Spina.  

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20, in the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, Funeral Director.  Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, in Speers United Methodist Church, with interment following in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
