Rose Fazzoni Monchecourt, 89, passed away on December 14, 2015, at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center, in Fredericksburg Va.
She was born on February 24, 1926, in Charleroi Pa. She moved with her husband to Chicago where she was employed at Carson, Pierre, Scott as a master hair stylist. In 1970 her and her husband moved to New Port Richey, FL, where she lived until 2001, when she moved to Virginia to live with her daughter & her husband.
She is a charter member of Catholic Daughters of America in Florida, Court St Vincent de Paul, where she served both as court regent and Florida state regent.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Margaret Fazzoni; her husband, Daniel Hunter Monchecourt; sister Marie Valdiserri; and brothers, Guy Fazzoni and Frank Fazzoni Jr.
Survivors include her daughter, Michele Donaldson and husband James; granddaughter, Danelle Donaldson and husband Frank Imperatore; grandson, Michael Donaldson and wife Beth Cates Donaldson; two great grandsons, Drew Titus & Hunter Donaldson; one great- granddaughter, Sydney Donaldson; and many nieces and nephews.
More than anything, she loved spending time with her family, making crafts, reading, and crossword puzzles.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 17, in the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, Funeral Director. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, in Mary, Mother of the Church, Charleroi, with interment following in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
