Robert Arnold Deutsch, of Charleroi, died on Sunday, May 15, 2016, on his 81st birthday.  Born on May 15, 1935, he was the son of the late Robert and Sophia Deutsch.  

He was a member of Mary, Mother of the Church, and was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel after 33 years of service.  He had also worked at Central Westmoreland County Vo-Tech, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards with friends, and spending time with his family.  

Robert is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joan Deutsch; children, Mark (Debra) Deutsch, Eugene (Lynda) Deutsch, Gary (Karen) Deutsch, Denise (Lee) Luckasevic, and Robert (Kelli) Deutsch; grandchildren, Leah, Kayla, Bradley, Jenny, Jacklyn, Justin, Lee, Bobby, Stephanie, Robbie, and Kalina; step-grandchildren, Sarah, Rachael, and Natalie; great-grandchildren, Cade, Julianna, Wes, Orion, Gabriel, and Emersyn; and sister, Linda Harbin.  

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a grandchild, Jesse Deutsch; and sisters, Elsie and Irene.  

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17 in the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, in Mary, Mother of the Church, with interment following in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
