Rita Gloria (Picinotti) Lindsay, 87, of Charleroi, passed away unexpectedly, on Sunday, May 1, 2016, at UPMC Presbyterian, in Pittsburgh.  She was born to Joseph and Emma Picinotti on January 2, 1929 in Charleroi.

She was a 1946 graduate of Charleroi High School. Rita enjoyed playing cards with her card club, spending time with family and friends, and was actively enjoying life until called by her Creator.  

“Norman”, as her friends and family knew her, is survived by her faithful husband of 56 years, Robert Lindsay; three sons, Terry Lindsay and his partner Daniel Mieczynski, of South Windham, CT, Douglas Lindsay and his wife Lisa (Ayoob Lindsay) of Hoover, AL, and Gary (Max) Lindsay of Newport News, VA; grandsons, Schuyler Lindsay of Manteno IL, and United States Army Specialist Spencer Lindsay, stationed at Fort Bliss, TX; and brother, Joseph Picinotti (93) of Charleroi, PA.  

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sisters, Dolores Gallo and Dorothy Picinotti, both of Charleroi, PA.  

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, in the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, in Mary, Mother of the Church, Charleroi.  Interment will be at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at a later date.
