Mary Kahr, 88, formerly of Brownsville, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2020. Born on March 22, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Mary E. and Joseph J. Kahr, of West View, PA.

Following graduation from St. John’s School of Nursing in 1952, Mary worked as a Registered Nurse until her disability in approximately 1972. She has been a resident of the Waynesburg Health Care & Rehabilitation Center of Waynesburg, PA since March 2011.

She is survived by a brother, Joseph C. Kahr of Hillsborough, NC; nieces, Janet Chico, of Newell, Susan Chobany, of Washington, Carin Gray, of Hillsborough, NC; nephews, Mike Chico, of Monongehela, Dan Chico, of West View, Tim Chico, of Oceanside, CA, Robert Kahr, of Falls Church, VA and Barry Kahr, Austin, TX.

In addition to her parents she is predeceased by a sister, Kathryn Chico; and niece, Kathy Chico.

Friends will be received from 9 to 9:30 am on Wednesday, February 5 in the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME, Charleroi, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, Charleroi (formerly Mary, Mother of the Church), with interment following in St Luke's Cemetery, Bentleyville.
