June Snyder Carson Obituary

June Snyder Carson, 88,  passed away on January 21, 2015, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 24, 1926, in Donora, to Mary Belle and Austin Joseph Snyder.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Joseph Eugene Carson.  They raised their children in Charleroi and were active members of Grace United Methodist Church in Coal Center.  June resided in Tampa, FL for the past 10 years with her daughters.  

She has three children, Robert (Stella) Carson, of Lawrenceville, IN, Linda Carson and Mary Kay (Silvio) Gonzalez, of Tampa, FL; four grandchildren, Scott (Amy) Carson, of Brattleboro, VT, Melissa (Chris) Marshburn, of Clayton, NC, Steven Gonzalez and Andrew Gonzalez, of Tampa, FL; and four great- grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Snyder, of Burlington, WI; sister-in-law, Rosemary Hancock, of Washington, PA; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. June’s smile and ever present happy demeanor will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  

Friends will be received on Monday, January 26, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon, the time of service, in the GRACE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 420 California Drive, Coal Center, PA 15423.  Interment will follow in Maple Creek Cemetery.  The CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME, Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director, is handling the arrangements.
