Joseph Bruno, 101, of Dunlevy, passed away on June 1, 2021. Born on May 5, 1920, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Guissefina Bruno.
He was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, Charleroi, and the Holy Name Society. He was retired from Corning Glass as a glass mold polisher, and was a veteran of the US Army, serving in WWII. He was a member of the VFW, delivered Meals-on-Wheels and enjoyed tending to his garden and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Joe is survived by his daughters, Barbara (Jim Borsevich) Hall, of Charleroi, and Connie Wilson, of Charleroi; grandchildren, Jodi (Tom) Campano, James (Kristine) Hall, Marnie (Chad) Martin, Aislynn (Anthony Watkins) Jenkins, and Alaina (Joe Elliott) Collins; great-grandchildren, Tommy, Joey, Gianna, Nathan, Nolan, Natalia, Sophie, Joe, and A.J.; and several nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Ruth Ellen Bruno; brother, Anthony Bruno; sister, Jennie Savarino; and son-in-law, Dale Hall.
Friends will be received from 9 to 10 am on Friday, June 4 at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, Charleroi, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am, followed by interment with full military services at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
