John W. Gricas, 86, of North Charleroi, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017.  Born on August 19, 1931, he was the son of the late William and Sylvia Gricas.  

He was a member of Mary, Mother of the Church, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and had a love of fishing and hockey.  

John is survived by his son, John A. Gricas, of North Charleroi; daughter, Cindy Randall, of North Charleroi; grandsons, Bryan Randall, and wife Alexis, of Bethel Park, and Mark Randall, of North Charleroi; grandchildren, Alex and Thea Randall; sister-in-law, Betty Wright, of North Charleroi; and several nieces and nephews.  

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Shirley Gricas, in 2014; and siblings, Mary, Amelia, Susan, Veronica, Eleanor, Stanley, and William.  

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20 in the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, at Mary, Mother of the Church, Charleroi, with interment following at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
