Private services were held for John R. Gaidos, 88, of Charleroi, who passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020. Born on March 30, 1932, he was the son of the late John and Anna Gaidos.

He was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish and was a veteran of the United States Army. He graduated from Penn State University and was a retired draftsman for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Allenport.

John is survived by his wife, Lillian Gaidos; sons, John M. (Karyn) Gaidos, of Macomb, MI, David A. (Suzanne) Gaidos, of Deer Park, IL, and Gerard Gaidos, of Carson, CA; grandchildren, J.T. Gaidos and Leah Peyton Gaidos; sister, Margaret Urda, of Charleroi; nephew, Tom Urda, of Charleroi; sisters-in-law, Frances (Phil) Lopresti, of Monessen, Virginia (Jim) Stefan, of Charleroi, Judy (Mike) Null, of Charleroi, and Carol (Kevin) Madrishin, of Charleroi; nephew, Fred (Val) Urda; niece, Susan (Dan) McKenzie; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a brother-in-law, Fred Urda.

Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish.
