Joan P. (Dolfi) Reis, 79, of Charleroi peacefully passed away surrounded by loved ones onThursday May 17, 2018 at the Mon Valley Care Center. She was born on “All Saints Day” November 1, 1938, which is no coincidence as she was a woman of strong faith.
She was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven by her husband Gene Reis, parents Ozzy and Emily Dolfi, grandparents Millan and Maria (Gutierrez) Rodriguez, brother Richard Dolfi, twin sister Jean Dolfi and many more.
Joanie was a gentle and kind woman that possessed a true servants heart. She was proud to have contributed over 25 years of services at the Donora Senior Center, Charleroi Senior Center andMeals on Wheels. Her favorite past times included spoiling her grandkids by “treating” them with goodies, hot fudge sundaes, baking for holidays, playing the organ, crafting, playing bingo, watching “chillers & thrillers” and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers!
She truly was a blessing to her a family and those dearest to her included: her brother & sister n law Millan & Diane Dolfi; her children John Drake, Lenora Drake-Lee, Patricia Ann Drake, Kathy Drake, Amelia Dewitt, Anna Maria (Reis)Axton & Gene (Tony) Reis Jr.; her grandchildren Terri Lee, Sarah May, Katie Hile, Christopher Coleman, Michael Jericho Jr., Travis & Stephanie Leone, Jessa Lee, Thomas Bertoniere Jr., Richard Sluk, Tyler Bertoniere, Tyler Lee, Sarah Dezardo and Tiffany Bertoniere; her close cousin Sandy McKeever, best friends Rose Knox & Fay Davis; numerous great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends will be received in the Carl J. Spallino Funeral Home 819 Fallowfield Ave, Charleroi, on Tuesday from 2:00pm to 8:00pm and on Wednesday until 10:00am at which time a blessing service will be led by Pastor Mike Hough. Interment will follow in the Mon Valley Memorial Park.
