Jean Ellen Ferretti, 84, of Charleroi, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017.  Born on September 20, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Margaret Pomponio.  

She was a member of Mary, Mother of the Church, and was retired from the dietary department of Mon Valley Hospital.  She enjoyed dancing, bingo, cooking, baking and spending time with her family.  

Jean is survived by her daughter, Cathy Ferretti, of Monroeville; son, Dan (Cheryl) Ferretti, of Littleton, CO; sister-in-law, Jean Pomponio, of Fallowfield Twp.; brothers-in-law, John and Tom Ferretti; the best nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her grand-puppies, Rocco, Rosie, and Max.  

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, George Ferretti; twin brother, Eugene Pomponio; brothers, Ernie (Mary Joyce "Sis") Pomponio, and Emil (Mary) Pomponio; and sister, Rose (Frank) Grillo.  

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, in the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, in Mary, Mother of the Church, with interment following in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
