James E. Williams, Jr., 71, of Charleroi, died on August 13, 2016.  Born on June 7, 1945, he was the son of the late James and Ethel Williams.  

He was a veteran of the United States Army, and was retired as a custodian for the Charleroi School District.  He was a member of the Mon Valley Coin Club, the Charleroi Russian Club, Belgian Club, and American Legion, and enjoyed fishing with his grandsons.  

Jim is survived by his daughter, Amy L. Williams (Jim Durinsky), of Charleroi; daughter-in-law, Sherry Williams, of Donora; sisters, Diane (Gary) Gray, of Charleroi, and Cindy (Dave) Hanna, of Monessen; sister-in-law, Alice Lauderback, of Charleroi; grandchildren, Nigel Summers and Adam Brounce; and numerous nieces and nephews.  

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Charlene Williams; and son, James E. Williams III.  

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16, in the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERA HOME, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director.  Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, in the funeral home.  Interment will be private.
