James G. Cratty, Sr., 80, of Charleroi, died on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at the Hallsworth House, Monessen.  Born on February 14, 1936, he was the son of the late James E. and Mary Jane (Servia) Cratty.  

He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel and loved to hunt and fish.  

James is survived by sons, Michael S. Cratty, M.D., of Mars, and James G. Cratty, Jr., of Belle Vernon; daughters, Terri Askin, of Belle Vernon, and Cathy Cratty, of Donora; sister, Ellen Gency, of Charleroi; 9 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.  

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, LaVon Cratty; and siblings, Charles, Alice, and Jeannine.  

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, in the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director.  Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, in the funeral home, followed by interment in Calvary Cemetery.
