James Arrigo Obituary

James E. Arrigo, 84, of Charleroi passed away on May 17, 2026. Born on May 28, 1941 he was the son of the late Ralph and Edith (Repine) Arrigo.


He was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish and was a member of the Victory Hill Gun Club. He was a retired speech and hearing teacher from the Monessen School District, where he was also a very successful baseball coach.


James is survived by his brother, Ralph Arrigo, of Charleroi; ex-wife, Karen Hawker, and her son, Jasper Hawker, of Chalk Hill; best friends Pete Ferrara and Jess Pelligrino; and several nieces and nephews. 


In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers, Thomas and Joe Arrigo.


Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm on Monday, May 25 in the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME.  A Blessing service will be at 11 am on Tuesday, in the funeral home, with interment following in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
