Jack "Rip" Sewell Obituary

Jack A. "Rip" Sewell, 81, of Speers, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017.  Born on January 8, 1936, he was the son of the late John and Freda Blangger. 

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, was a retired mill worker, and held a post-retirement job with McGinley Maintenance Inc. and Shamrock Chemical Co.  He was a member of several clubs in the valley including the Italian and Belgian clubs in Charleroi, Slavic and French clubs in North Charleroi, Naomi club, Allenport Rod & Gun, and the Speers Boat Club, as he had a great love for boating. 

Rip is survived by his son, Frank "Butch" Sewell, of Kane, PA; granddaughter, Jennifer Sewell, of Monongahela, and great-grandson, Scott Baker. 

He is predeceased by his wife, Joyce F. Sewell; and brothers, Robert and Arthur Sewell. 

As per Rip's request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. 

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial luncheon on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at 2 p.m. at the Charleroi Italian Club (Italia Unita Club), 514 8th St., Charleroi.
