Helen T. Cunningham, 86, of Speers Hill, died on May 3, 2016.  Born on October 10, 1929, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Kurimski) Hreha.  

She was a member of Mary, Mother of the Church and was the secretary and controller of Speers Boro for 25 years.  She was a graduate of Ellsworth High School and was an avid Charleroi Cougar fan.  Helen was a master of city chicken, halupki, and pierogies, and was the best stay at home mom ever.  

She is survived by her daughter, Peg Russell (Bill Catalina), of Speers Hill; sons, Thomas (Judy) Cunningham, of Syracuse, and Tim (Stephana) Cunningham, of Elkhardt, IN; grandchildren, Alexandra, Thomas, and Andrew Cunningham, T., Incala, and Ella Cunningham, and Jesse and Emma (Vladimir Priftanj) Russell; one future great-grandson; and sisters, Pauline Fehrines, of Pittsburgh, and Mary Charnok, of Monongahela.  

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Thomas E. Cunningham; and brother, Joey Hreha.  

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 9, in the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, in Mary, Mother of the Church.  Interment will be at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at a future date.
