Geraldine 'Gerry' Sukel DeFrancesco, 98, of Fallowfield Twp. passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Mon Valley Care Center, with her loving family by her side. Born on December 11, 1926 in Belle Vernon, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Mornak) Sukel.

Gerry was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, Charleroi. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, crocheting, and spending time with her family.

Gerry is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lee Ann and Leo Spada, of Speers; grandchildren, Derek (Leanna) Spada, Justin (Kelli) Spada, and Krista (Tom) Ferencz; and great-grandchildren, Gino Spada, Vito Spada, and Roman Ferencz.

In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her husband, Leonard DeFrancesco, on October 23, 2003; brothers, James, Raymond and Richard Sukel; and sister, Elizabeth Eversburg.

There will be no visitation.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am on Saturday, March 15 in St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, 624 Washington Ave., Charleroi.

Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park.
