Emma “Jane” Rehula Guy, 84, of Charleroi, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, October 24, 2018. Born on December 7, 1933, she was the only daughter of the late Rudof Adolf Rehula and Emma Jane Wasicek Rehula.
As an only child she was spoiled and loved. She attended Duquesne University for one semester until she met the love of her life, Andrew Guy. They met in January and were married by James Rohayleigh on March 15, 1952. Their first child, Rudy, arrived in December. After that, she had 2 more daughters, Deborah and Andrea.
She was a Girl Scout leader and CCD instructor and she loved all of her students. Jane loved animals from her poodles, Pierre and JJ, to the little yappy chihuahua Scratty and all of the kitties who resided with her. She also loved music, from church hymns to Irish folk songs, and she was always singing.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Andrew Guy.
Surviving are her 3 children, Rudy Guy, and wife Cheryl, of Canton, OH, Deborah Leech, and husband Scott, of Charleroi, and Andrea Guy, of Charleroi, whom she lived with until the end; her dear friends, Cheryl and Eddie Zippay; Pastor Fr. Pierre Sodini; six grandchildren, Melanie (David) Moyer, Monica (Steve) Shope, Ali (Wes) Taliani, Amanda (Aaron) Sowick; Raymond Leech, and Michael (Bethany Manges) Leech; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Emma and William Shope and Jake and Katie Moyer; and one soon to be born great-great-grandchild that she longed to love.
As per Jane's wishes there will be no visitation. Friends may attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 27 in Mary, Mother of the Church, Charleroi.
