Elizabeth “Betty” Pavlo, 89, formerly of Charleroi, died on April 6, 2018, at Good Samaritan Hospice Wexford, after a short illness. Until her sudden illness, she resided with her grandson, Todd, and his wife, Anne, in Sewickley.
She was born in Van Voorhis, on January 17, 1929, the daughter of the late Mike and Helen Slavic Pavlo. She will be remembered as a hard-working, independent woman who retired from Corning Glass Plant in Charleroi in 1995, but never slowed down. Her main focus throughout her life was her family and she loved spending time with them.
She is survived by her two grandchildren: Dr. Todd Luckasevic (Anne) and Jason Luckasevic (Kelly) and two great-granddaughters, Addison and Alexis. She was predeceased in death by her beloved daughter, JoAnn Luckasevic. She was predeceased by her siblings Helen, Michael and George. She is survived by a sister, Margaret Sukla, and nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 8 in the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, Funeral Director. A blessing service will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, in the funeral home, celebrated by Rev. Jerry Mikonis, followed by entombment at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 97 Sacred Heart Road, Monongahela, PA, 15063
