Edward J. Nandor, 87, of Carroll Twp., died on Wednesday, August 23, 2017.  Born on October 19, 1929, he was the son of the late Joseph and Suzanne (Zamiska) Nandor.  

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Korea, and was a retired mechanical engineer for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel.  He was a member of Mary, Mother of the Church and the 10th St. A.C., in Charleroi.  

He is survived by his step-children, Stephan (Stephanie) Saflin, of Conroe, TX, Pamela Fisher, of Hampstead, NC, and Joy (Tom) Havidich, of Belle Vernon; sister, Patricia Dunkers, of Monroe Twp, NJ; sister-in-law, Patricia Nandor, of Greensburg; step-grandchildren, Stephen, Seth, and Sarah Saflin, and Shannon Fisher; and nieces and nephews, Ronald (Angela) Nandor, of Cleveland Heights, OH, Cindy (Dave) Nickerson, of Noank, CT, Debbie (Rick) Reynolds, of Navarre, FL, Mary Ann (Joe) Alwan, of Andover, MA, Don (Lisa) Dunkers, of Reading, PA, Dan (Joy) Dunkers, of Frederick, MD, and Dee (Jim) Belsky, of Monroe Twp., NJ.  

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Velma Horwath Nandor; and brother, Ronald Nandor.  

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, August 27 in the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, in Mary, Mother of the Church, with interment following in Monongahela Cemetery.
