He is survived by his daughter, Whitney Wright, and husband Scott, of Belle Vernon; granddaughter, Brynleigh Wright; and caregiver, sister-in-law, and friend, Jennifer Caulkett.
Dempsey is predeceased by his parents; wife, Sondra Rosnick Welsh; and fiancee, Theresa Holt Kalp.
