David L. Reconnu, 84, of Brownsville, formerly of Fallowfield Twp., passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018. Born on February 12, 1933, he was the son of the late David and Helen Reconnu.
He was a member of the Coal Center Presbyterian Church, and was a veteran of the US Army, having served in the Korean War. He was retired from RockTenn Co., in Charleroi, and formerly worked at International Paper Co.
David is survived by his wife, Liesel Reconnu; daughter, Karen Porter, and husband Bill, of Coal Center; brother, Rev. Everett Reconnu, and wife Joan, of Camden, S.C.; sister, Paulette Chapman, and husband Roy, of Texas; and grandchildren, Kellie Rubbo, and husband Brian, and Matthew Porter, and wife Kala.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his daughter, Debbie Reconnu; and sister, Lois Bosemon.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, January 15, in the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, in the funeral home, followed by interment at Monongahela Cemetery.
