Chris Celaschi Bender, of Pittsburgh, passed away on Monday, November 26, 2018.  She was the daughter of the late Herman and Ann Celaschi.  

She was Catholic by faith and was a retired school teacher.  She was an avid baker and animal lover who loved to care for her 3 fur grandkids.  

Chris is survived by her son, Jonathan Bender, of Seattle; daughter, Jamie Bender, of Pittsburgh; sister, JoAnn Celaschi, of Charleroi; and several cousins.  

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 29, in the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, at Mary, Mother of the Church, Charleroi, with interment following in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
