Betty J. Kujawski, 85, of Charleroi, died on June 1, 2016.  Born on October 31, 1930, in Elco, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Anna Lotwis Dowler.  

She was a member of Mary, Mother of the Church, and was a 1948 graduate of California High School.  She had worked at S.A. Meyer Jewelery Store and Select Cleaners, in Charleroi, until her retirement in 1994.  

Betty is survived by her daughter, Elaine Werries, and long time companion, Charles Popenoe, of Reynoldsburg, OH; grandson, Evan Andrew Werries; sister, Joan Luzzi, of Donora; dear niece and nephew, Kenneth and Dorothy Moody, of Charleroi; and caretakers, niece and cousin, Barb Hall, and Nancy Kossoumbus, of Charleroi.  

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Eugene Kujawski, whom she married on Feb. 16, 1956; brother, John A. Dowler; and grandson, Drew Johnathan Werries.  

Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 3, in the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, in Mary, Mother of the Church, with interment following in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
