Andrew Pivovarnik Obituary

Andrew Pivovarnik, 84, of Fallowfield Twp. passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at Shadyside Hospital. Born on May 1, 1941 he was the son of the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Hazuka) Pivovarnik.


He was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish and was a veteran of the US Navy. He was a member of the Charleroi American Legion and was instrumental in the development of the Fallowfield Twp. Veteran's Memorial. Andrew was a retired project manager for Dick Corporation and some of his large projects included PNC Park, Allegheny County Jail, and The Venetian Las Vegas. He was a founding member of the Fallowfield Twp. Athletic Association, where he helped to build the ballfields, and he was an avid golfer, having played in various leagues.


Andrew is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sharon (Syes) Pivovarnik; son, Brian (Cara) Pivovarnik, of Donora; daughter, Kristin (Tom) Dongilli, of Canonsburg; grandchildren, Sydney (Aydin Sommer) Pivovarnik, Madelyn Pivovarnik, Courtney (Logan Halechko) Pivovarnik, Zachary Andrew Pivovarnik, Nick (Lindsey) Dongilli, Emma (Dan) Miller, and Nina Dongilli; great grandchildren, Sonny Dongilli and Isabella Miller; brother, Tom (Ronnie) Pivovarnik, of Lancaster; and sister, Janet (Ron) Fox, of Mechanicsburg.


Friends will be received from 4 to 8 pm on Friday, May 1 in the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am on Saturday at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, 624 Washington Ave., Charleroi, with interment following in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
