Frances Crow Zollars, 90, formerly of Fallowfield Twp., passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019, in her residence in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born on December 27, 1928, she was the only child of the late Paul and Evelyn Mitchell Crow.
She attended Fallowfield Twp. Elementary and Junior High Schools and graduated from Charleroi High School in 1946. She graduated from Allegheny General Hospital School of Nursing in 1949 and worked as an R.N, mainly at the old Charleroi Monessen Hospital and AGH. Following her retirement from AGH in 1986 she worked in Industrial Nursing until 2005. She spent most of her life in the Mon Valley but relocated to Indianapolis in 2008, due to declining health.
She is predeceased in 1969 by her husband William R. Zollars, whom she married in 1963.
Frances is survived by a son, Larry Whaley, and wife Barbara, of Indianapolis; daughter, Dawn Gilliland, and husband Jeff, of Florida; step-daughters, Christine Zollars and Mrs. Christian (Claudine) Galeron, of France; grandchildren, Christopher (Christy) Whaley, Paul Whaley, Nathaniel (Jovan) Gilliland, and Courtney Gilliland; step-grandchildren, Anne and Julien Galeron; great-grandchildren, Cobey, Caroline and Connor Whaley, and Olivia, Landon and Micah Gilliland of Florida
As per Frances' request, there will be no public visitation. Burial will take place in Maple Creek Cemetery, next to her husband Bill.
